Maple Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, late 18th century, the overhanging molded top on a case with dressing slide and four thumbmolded, graduated drawers and bracket feet centering a pendant, painted salmon-pink with polychrome floral designs and a scrolled border, done in an early 20th century manner, replaced brass pulls, ht. 35, case wd. 35, dp. 20 in.

Note: A note scratched into the backboard reads "This bureau was made August 1769," and a chalk inscription reads "Boston."
