Cherry Armchair, New England, last half 18th century, the serpentine crest rail above a vasiform splat, with scrolled arms on block-, vase-, and ring-turned frontal supports and legs ending in pad feet with bulbous turned front stretcher, refinished, ht. 43, seat ht. 16 in.

Provenance: Reportedly formerly in the Collection of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Mallory III, North White Plains, New York; sold Sotheby's New York, 2001.
