Crystal Snuff Bottle with Interior Painting and Calligraphy, China, early 20th century, flattened rectangular form with rounded corners and straight neck, resting on a raised oval foot, decorated on one side with a painting in the manner of Ding Erzhong (1868-1935) in colors and gold, depicting Shoulao riding on a deer and three boys holding a peach, a double gourd, and a staff, inscribed with date (1919) and signed with a seal, the other side with two dragons facing each other in gold and an inscription in the center reading "Zheng Xiaoxu [1860-1938] Daren Yashu," all on a brown ground, the silver stopper in the shape of a floral pendant set with a circular labradorite, ht. 3 1/8 in.
