Frederic Remington (American, 1861-1909)

The Sergeant/A Posthumous Cast c. 1914
Signed "Frederic Remington" in the bronze at the top edge of the proper right side
of the base, inscribed "Copyright by/Frederic Remington" at the top edge of the left side of the base and continuing onto the back, stamped "ROMAN BRONZE WORKS" at the bottom edge of the back of the base, stamped "N-42-" on the underside of the base.
Bronze with dark brown patina, height 10 1/4 in. (26.0 cm),base approximately 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 x 3 1/2 in. (6.7 x 6.7 x 9.0 cm).
Condition: Mild wear to patina, dust and dirt to interstices.
