Provenance: Acquired by George Hewitt Myers (1875-1957) and Louise Stoddard (née Chase) Myers (1879–1960),Washington, D.C., founder of The Textile Museum, Washington, D.C.; by family descent to the present owner.

A label from Finlayson Brothers Restorers, Boston, affixed to the reverse. The lining is adhered with resin. There are some scattered dots and dashes of retouch, and broader strokes of retouch to the surround. The frame is late 18th or early 19th century and measures about 39 x 34 x 3 1/4 in.
