John Taylor Arms (American, 1887-1953)

Battle Wagon - U.S.S. Alabama Outfitting at Norfolk Navy Yard, Crane ShipKearsage Alongside, 1942-43, second state of 6 (Fletcher, 376). Signed and dated "John Taylor Arms 1943" in pencil l.r., inscribed "II" in pencil l.l. Etching with aquatint on paper, plate size 12 x 17 7/8 in. (30.4 x 45.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Several minute fox marks, subtle rippling, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Descended through the family of Clarence G. Michalis to the present owner (according to the inscription on the backing paper).
