Luther Morgan Mahogany Shelf Clock, Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1825, the arch-top hood with conforming hinged glazed door, Roman numeral painted iron dial with raised gilt spandrels, and marked Luther S. Morgan Salem, molded midsection above the inlaid hinged door, all resting on ogee bracket feet, brass, eight-day, time-only movement, pendulum and lead weight, (restored),ht. 39 in.

dial relined, additional height added to seating board posts/uprights, hood back board old replacement, bottom board cracked and reglued, feet appear to be original with some replaced glue blocks, the top right plinth and finial are unattached but with the piece, and there are shrinkage cracks throughout the case, most notably to the front panel of the door
