Carved Oak and Pine Joined Chest, possibly North Shore of Massachusetts, late 17th century, the snipebill-hinged top with cleated ends above the joined box having a facade with four recessed panels carved with scrolls, hearts, and leafage, and paneled ends, all on stile feet, refinished, (imperfections),ht. 24 7/8, top wd. 43 3/4, dp. 22 1/4 in.
