Five Unframed Old Master DrawingsAttributed to Giovanni da san Giovanni, "Giovanni Mannozzi" (Florentine, 1592-1636),Falling Male Nude, inscribed indistinctly in ink u.r., conte crayon on paper with a superimposed grid, 4 3/8 x 5 in. (10.8 x 12.7 cm); After Domenico Zampieri (Il Domenichino) (Italian, 1581-1641),Faith Supported by Time, fragmentary spandrel-shaped drawing, unsigned, identified on the mat, ink with whiting on paper, 13 5/8 x 11 in. (34.7 x 28.0 cm); French School, 17th Century, Battle Scene, possibly the Rape of the Sabine Women, unsigned, ink and wash with whiting on paper, sheet size 17 1/4 x 25 1/4 in. (34.0 x 64.2 cm); School of Louis Boullogne the Younger (French, 1654-1733),Seated Male Nude, unsigned, attributed on the reverse of the mount in a later hand, charcoal and chalk on gray paper, sheet size approximately 20 3/4 x 12 3/4 in. (53.2 x 32.4 cm); Bolognese School, Late 17th Century, Male Nude, conte crayon, sheet size 16 1/2 x 11 3/8 in. (42.0 x 29.0 cm),stamped with collector's mark "SCIPIO" within an oval (H.S. Reitlinger, 1882-1950) and inscribed "Illustrated in Ginsburg Coll" in pencil, both on the reverse of the mount.
Condition: Giovanni irregularly trimmed and laid down on paper support; Domenichino with loss to u.r. corner, laid down on a larger sheet measuring 15 7/8 x 12 5/8 in.; Battle Scene laid down on paperboard support, inscribed "Colnaghi, London, 1956" in pencil on the back of the mount; After Boullogne laid down on mat board support; Bolognese School with small losses and staining, laid on paper support.
