Austro-Hungarian .800 Silver Figural Inkwell, Vienna, 1867-1922, maker's mark "KM" in a circular cartouche, also marked to lower silver band enclosing base "entw. Raszka" and "aug. Krahl," cast as St. George slaying the dragon on a textured oynx ground, the dragon with emerald-set eyes and its tail wrapped around a silver-hinged inkwell, with a lower metal band and a two-part wood base, lg. of onyx 12 1/4 in.
N.B. A document stating that the piece was purchased by the House of Ottoker Huebner, Vienna, from a near relative of the late Emperor Franz Joseph II, accompanies the lot.

Onyx broken into several pieces and held together by silver frame. Loss to end of St. George's spear, loss to top of helmet, and spur bent. Corrosion around inkwell. Wood base in two pieces.
