Five-piece Watson DorianPattern Sterling Silver Tea and Coffee Service, Attleboro, Massachusetts, c. 1935, designed by Percy Ball, Art Deco-style, each piece with tapered body ornamented with vertical chased bands and on stepped foot, coffeepot, ht. 9 1/2 in., teapot, and covered sugar with ebonized wood finials and domed stepped covers, creamer and waste bowl, approx. 63.8 total troy oz.
N.B. Percy Bertram Ball (1879-1955) worked as a silver designer and craftsman at Gorham, Frank Whiting, and Wallace, among others, before settling at Watson sometime in the mid to late 1920s.
