Christopher Dresser for Coalbrookdale Cast Iron Hall Stand, Shropshire, England, c. 1880, marked with a British Registry mark: patent dated December, 11, 1867, numbered "214963," and marked "COALBROOKDALE No. 2" with aesthetic motifs throughout including stylized flowers and abstract patterning, with an inset trough to base, black painted throughout, ht. 74 1/2 in.

Scattered nicks and flaking to finish some areas, very minor rust spots, all consistent with usage wear. Possible retouched areas to surface. A break to element on the upper left side and an additional casting flaw or possible repair in the same general area (refer to images). Insert with flaking and moderate loss to paint.
