Four Silver Salt Cellars with Cobalt Glass Liners, three by Hester Bateman, London, c. 1789, one by Peter and Ann Bateman, London, c. 1796, each of elliptical form decorated with beaded and pierced pendant border, three round pierced blossom designs, a chased rampant lion in a small round reserve, and chased floral festoons, raised on fluted and shell feet, with conforming cobalt glass liners, ht. 2 3/8, dia. 3 1/2 in., approx. 6.90 troy oz. total (excluding liners).
