AMERICAN YACHTS,
1884, signed with a printed signature or initials and dated on each l.l., titles and plate numbers printed on labels affixed to the reverse. Seventeen chromolithographs on paper depicting American yachting scenes, and one portraying signal flags, in original cloth-covered cardboard portfolio, portfolio 22 1/2 x 29 1/2, image size approx. 14 1/4 x 20 1/4 in. Condition: Each print mounted on paperboard, light toning, most with minor foxing, slight rippling.

Most of the images have areas where light whitish spots of paper fibers adhered lightly on the images where the works/paperboard are rippled (the high point of the ripple rubbed the work underneath in the same place and some of the paper fibers adhered to the printed surface). VI- The Finish Off Staten Island-1870. Cambria. Duantless. America. Idler. Magic: Minor foxing to sky.
VII- In the Narrows- A Black Squall. Active. Dora. Rambler. Wanderer.
XII- Over the Cape May Course-1873- With scattered small losses to image, losses on right edge to it's paperboard backing also the paperboard backing with foxing, and many scattered areas of whitish paper fibers adhered to the surface.
XVI- A Stern Chase and a Long One-1876. Countess of Dufferin. America. Grant. Madeline.: A few small foxmarks and light spots in sky.
XVII- A Breezy Day Outside- Columbia. Sappho. Palmer: Minor foxing to sky and water.
XVIII- Crossing the Line-New York Bay. Coming. Montauk. Comet. Kelpie: a few fox marks and light spots to sky.
IX- Off Soundings-A smoky Sou'wester. Bedouin. Intrepid. Namouna. : Very minor foxmarks.
XIX- Minot's Ledge Light. Tempest. Viva. Fortuna. White Cap: Several small light abrasions with color loss appearing light blue or off-white in sky and clouds.
XX-For the America's Cup-1881-The Start. Atlanta. Mischief: a few very small foxmarks in sky and sails.
XXI- Misty Morning-Drifting. Utowana. Nokomis. Crusader Hildegard: minor fox marks
XXII- In Down East Waters-Boston Bay. Syren. Beetle. Countess. Halcyon. Phantom. Adelita. Sappho.: a few light abrasions to sky (appear as light blue).
XXIII- Before the Wind-Newport-1883. Social. Vixen. Arrow. Permelia. Maggie.
XXIV- Under the Palisades. Stranger. Rover. Atlanta.: minor foxing to sky.
XV-Lying-to Off George's Bank. Norseman. Atlanta: minor foxing to sky, minor light abrasions to image in water.
XXVI- Signal Chart. Yolande.: Couple small light brownish spots u.r.
