to the reverse.
Oil on canvasboard, 12 x 16 in. (30.5 x 40.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Retouch, craquelure, surface grime, bowing of board, one inch bulge at u.l. edge, scattered paint loss.

The painting has retouch in several areas visible under UV light but which can also be identified by the mat surface to the paint. Retouch is located as follows: l.l. corner to cover small bulge/abrasion measuring 1-1/2 x 1/2 inches; to the background on the far left of the hopper in an area measuring 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches; outlining the figure along the right side of his body, and also a spot immediately to the left of his arm measuring 3/8 inch diameter.; two areas on the barrel ; in the green and brown pigment in the landscape through the barn door.
There are two areas of bulging to the canvas, one located in l.l. corner as referenced above which measures 1-1/4 inches high and a second along the left center edge measuring 1-1/4 inches with paint loss. Scattered white dots of foreign matter.
