Devotional Diptych: Christ with the Symbols of the Passion and St. Peter
Unsigned.
Oil on wood with metal hinges, each panel 16 1/2 x 9 1/4 in. (41.5 x 23.5 cm),mounted in a Plexiglas box frame.
Condition: Retouch, craquelure, surface grime.

Provenance: Estate of Hester Marion (nee Chanler) Pickman (1894-1989) of Billerica, Massachusetts, purportedly acquired in Paris in the 1920s or 1930s. Mrs. Pickman was the daughter of John Winthrop Chanler, a descendent of J.J. Astor.
