Five Soldiers and a Turk on Horseback, c. 1495-96 (Bartsch, 88; Hollstein, 81; Meder, 81a/e). Monogrammed within the plate, collector's stamp (see below) to verso. Engraving on laid paper, image size 5 1/4 x 5 11/16 in. (13.3 x 14.4 cm),framed.
Condition: Trimmed into edges and remargined, subtle toning and staining, hinges near each corner.
Provenance: Ex-collection of Le Comte Giuseppe Archinto (1783-1861),Milan (Lugt, 546); Sotheby's New York, Sale 7835, Lot 32, November 7, 2002, to a private Massachusetts collection.
