Three Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver Items, New York, late 19th century, a pair of wine coasters with a wood base, engraved armorial and monogram "AJD" to center, and a reticulated rim with a leaf and berry border, dia. 7 1/4; and a decanter stand with a reticulated border with a reeded rim offset by a shell motif, engraved to center "S.A.B./Oct. 28, 1885" on four ball feet, dia. 9 1/2 in., approx. 11.5 troy oz.
Provenance: Wine coasters by family decent from Anthony Joseph Drexel (1826-1893) financier and founder of Drexel University to the present owner. Decanter stand by family decent from Sophia Augusta Brown Sherman (1867-1947),daughter of John Carter Brown II (1797-1874) and Sophia Augusta Browne Brown (1825-1909) and the wife of William Watts Sherman (1842-1912),to the present owner.
