Description:

American Guitar, C.F. Martin & Company, Nazareth, 1938, Style D-18, stamped D-18, 71694 at the upper block, width of lower bout 15 5/8 in., with later case.
Estimate $7,000-9,000

Refinished back and top, peghead and neck, finish check. Tuners changed. "Halo" area around pickguard where pick wear was retouched then clear coated. Pickguard sanded, solvent damage. Possible hairline crack below treble side of bridge, filled with clear, approx. 3 inches. 1 3/4" width at nut. Bridge plate appears original. Top sanded.
