Two Swing-handled Nantucket Baskets, reportedly made by Captain Andrew Sandsbury, South Shoal Lightship, c. 1880, a medium sized deep round basket, lightly shellacked surface, (losses to lashing and some cane weavers),ht. to rim 5 1/2, ht. to top of upright handle 9 3/4, dia. 7 3/4; and a shallow round basket, (losses to lashing a some cane weavers),ht. to rim 6 1/4 1/2, ht. to top of upright handle 7 1/4, dia. 7 1/2 in.
