Description:

Japanese Katana, Flag, and Senninbari, c. early to mid-20th century, Ray skin grip with steel blade, black painted scabbard, and leather sword knots, a thousand stitch belt with red stitches in the shape of a tiger, a partial Japanese flag, a headband with Japanese figures, a model 1917 bayonet and scabbard, and a billhook-style knife.

Provenance: Brought back from Okinawa by the consignor's father, a member of the 146th Fighting Seabees.
Estimate $800-1,000

Some wood from inside sword scabbard has come loose and stops sword from being completely inserted in scabbard, blade has some pitting at tip and mid-blade, partial Japanese flag has some moth holes.
