Merganser Hen Decoy, unknown maker, possibly New York, early 20th century, two-piece body with inset glass eyes, delineated bill, old, possibly original surface, painted "F" on bottom, (paint wear, lightly hit by shot, repaired crack on one side),ht. 6 1/4, wd. 4 3/4, lg. 14 in.

1/2 in. dowel post joining head, joinery separation on body , crack on breast originated from a nail on the bottom, the crack on side is centered with a small knot in the wood and is is approx. 1 x 4 1/4 in., it is nailed back on with five nails, paint wear/losses on bill tip, tail tip, crest top, scattered shot hits.
