Shellwork Sailor's Valentine, probably Barbados, 19th century, hinged octagonal case, decorated with multicolored shell designs, one side with an ornate heart motif the other side with inscription "HOME SWEET HOME," (few loose segments, shrinkage cracks on case exterior),9 x 9 in. (closed).

There are two looses shells on the right side that are loose, and a shrinkage crack on both sides of the case.
