Wucai Baluster Vase, China, 17th century or later, heavily potted, the body painted with boys amidst dense scrolling foliage and peony blossoms, the neck decorated with bamboo, lingzhi mushrooms, rocks, and chrysanthemums, base unmarked, ht. 11 1/2 in., with wood stand.
Provenance: Acquired in 1966 from Josephine Vallin Old Chinese Art, Wilton, to the presernt owner from family descent. Original receipt available.
