Pair of Carved Ivory Plaques, Continental, possibly Dieppe, France, 19th century, both after Peter Paul Rubens, one depicting The Coronation of Marie de Medici, the other The Apotheosis of Henri IV and the Proclamation of the Regency of Marie de Medici, unmarked, in ebonized wood frames, ivory ht. 4 1/2, lg. 10 3/8 in.
Estimate $700-900

Chips to center bottom and top edge of Apotheosis. Each with surface grime. Very minimal cracks or loss. No repairs. Cannot be examined out of frames.
