Frederic Remington (American, 1861-1909)

Regular Cavalryman-Spanish
Signed "Frederic Remington" l.r., titled in the artist's hand on a detached scrap of
paper.
Ink and crayon on paper, sheet size 18 7/16 x 13 3/8 in. (46.7 x 34.4 cm), framed.
Condition: Water staining or similar across top quarter of sheet, subtle rippling and handling creases, toning, mild foxing and mat burn, stray v-shaped mark at u.c., sheet slightly irregular in width with scattered stains at left edge, tape-hinged at top edge of reverse to mat, titled on a separate, trimmed paper, probably from original sheet, and hinged to mat l.c.
