Description:

Continental School, Late 19th/Early 20th Century

Aurora, cast stepping forward in a flowing dress while lifting her hood from her head, on an unoriginal, but contemporary bronze base signed "Mayer," numbered "B 3892," and bearing "Societe des Bronzes de Paris" foundry stamp, further raised on a circular plinth with title plaque, bronze ht. 14 7/8 in.
Estimate $200-300

Base and plinth not original to figure, bears two holes not matching figural position (one covered by foundry stamp). Figure slightly loose from base. Supporting leg appears to be resoldered.
