Pair of Portraits of Albert and Mary (Oldrin) Salter of New York City. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in., in later molded gilt-gesso frames. Condition: Retouch, stable craquelure.
Note: Albert Salter (1811-1882) was a baker who lived in Manhattan. He married Mary Oldrin (1813-1849) around 1832; they had six children. After Mary's death in 1849, Albert married her sister, Ann Seabury Oldrin (1818-1894).
