Russian School, 19th Century

Church Towers Across an Icy River. Signed and inscribed illegibly on the mat. Sight size 9 1/4 x 10 1/4 in, framed. Condition: Toning, foxing, not examined out of frame.

N.B. The Russian inscription on the left of the mat reads "St Petersburg." The date in the middle appears to be "'94." The artist's name on the right is difficult to make out, presumably starting with the initial "M."
Estimate $100-200

Was taped to mat - tape residue. Tack holes to corners, impressions from tacks. Foxing prevalent throughout. Some staining/toning/discoloration most apparent to upper quadrant. Minor mat burn, piece itself unsigned. Overall good condition.
