Note: The chair was originally designed for the Caribe Hilton hotel in Puerto Rico. Risom, born and educated in Denmark, moved to the United States in 1939 and was one of the first designers for the Knoll Furniture Company when it opened in 1942. After World War II, he started his own company, Jens Risom Design.
