Johan Barthold Jongkind (Dutch, 1819-1891)
Moulins en Hollande, 1867, final state of three (Delteil, 14). Inscribed, dated, and signed within the plate, identified in text within the plate. Etching on laid paper, plate size 5 3/4 x 7 5/8 in. (14.7 x 19.3 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Margins 1 inch or more, pale staining, several small thinned spots within the margins.

Sheet size 8 1/8 x 10 inches. Tape hinged in two places at top edge of the front. Gentle toning, with some staining to margins, mainly top left and right margins. Subtle rippling, slightly more pronounced at the edges. Small abrasion to paper surface just below the plate mark at the l.r.
Inscribed in the plate as follows: "Jongkind pinx et sc." l.l., titled l.c., "Vve A. Cadart Edit. Imp., 56 Blvd. Haussmann, Paris" l.r., "536" in u.r.
