backing, dedication from J.E. Williamson, Administrator for the Estate to Thomas Hill to Jane E. Robinson, dated March 14, 1917 on the backing.
Oil on board, 14 x 21 in. (35.6 x 53.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Retouch and varnish inconsistencies (in area of trees and foreground),support slightly warped, craquelure with lifting, losses, surface grime.

Craquelure with shrinking u.l., the cracks measuring 1 x 2-1/2 inches. A 1-1/2 inch abrasion l.c. with a paint loss at one side measuring 1/8 inch. Minor accretion c.r. in the dark trees. Varnish inconsistencies, some glossy areas and some matt areas, mainly in the trees and mountain, with an area of possible retouch or varnish inconsistency at upper right in the trees.
