Mary, alternatively titled Portrait of Mary, 1938, edition of 12 (Cole, 56). Signed "Will Barnet" in pencil l.r. Lithograph on paper, image size 13 5 /16 x 10 3/4 in. (33.7 x 27.2 cm),framed.
Condition: Mat burn, unobtrusive toning, not examined out of frame.

N.B. Mary was Barnet's first wife.

Gently light struck. Toning to the reverse. Subtle rippling to margins. Minor handling creases to lower margins. Sheet measures 21 1/2 x 15 7/8 in. with deckle edge at the bottom. Affixed to window mat with brown paper tape at two upper corners of the reverse. Inscribed "2" within a circle at l.r. corner of the front margin.
