Description:

Eight-panel Screen with Manchurian Hunting Scenes, Korea, 19th century, ink and color on silk, depicting a continuous hunting scene with men on horseback in chase of tiger, deer, and wild boar, with male attendants escorting a noble lady in a coach, all dressed in Manchu-style costume, some details painted in gold, each painting 12 5/8 x 43 in.

Provenance: From a private collection in Leonia, New Jersey.
Estimate $1,800-2,500

In poor condition with torn and deteriorating silk or cotton, loss of paint and painted details, severe damages on the paper backing, signs of remounting and retouching.
