Two Period Postcards Depicting Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich and His Bookplate, the postcards c. 1914, the two photographs from the same portrait session, with Alexei wearing a sailor suit, seated at a table, and holding a book, one also bears his signature, approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/2; the bookplate designed by Baron Armin Foelkersam in 1907 and depicts an angel holding a shield bearing the Imperial double-headed eagle and Nicholas II's cipher, approx. 4 1/8 x 2 1/2; in a common frame, total 23 1/2 x 10 3/4 in.
