Four-piece George IV Silver Tea and Coffee Service, London, 1823-24, Jonathan Hayne, maker, monogrammed, each with vertical repousse-decorated panels of foliate scrolls and flowers, a teapot and coffeepot, each with ivory heat stops, and a creamer and sugar, each with gold-washed interior, coffeepot ht. 9 1/4 in., approx. 79.7 troy oz., in a wood case.

Each with abrasions and scratched marks to underside (particularly creamer and sugar). All pieces fully hallmarked. Gold-washed areas in good overall condition. Teapot with abrasions to underside of the bottom of the handle and very small nick to cover. Coffeepot with bone insulator to finial. Shrinkage cracks to ivory.
