Provenance: Former William (Bill) F. Mackey, Jr., collection, the decoys bear the "Mackey Collection" stamp on bases.

Drake with joinery separation around the neck three old losses on its back, is missing its right eye, and has an old chip on the tail; the hen has a 1/4 x 1 1/8 repair to a chip on the top of the tail tip, is missing its left eye, and has an old shrinkage crack that runs along the base. Both are inscibed on the bottom with black marker "WARD BROS. CRISFIELD MD."
The wood used in the decoys is possibly balsam fir.
