Lakota Ledger Drawing, Standing Bear, c. 1890, signed "Matona Yo," with a corresponding standing bear glyph, depicting a warrior wearing a war shirt, leggings with multiple "horse tracks" painted on them, and carrying a society lance with stuffed bird head at one end with original backing removed for conservation, inscription on backing reads "this picture was made by an indian, taken prisoner by U.S. soldiers at Pine Ridge about 1890," , 8 3/4 x 5 3/4 in.
