Signed "Enneking" l.r., identified on a presentation plaque, titled and inscribed
"...Byfield-Mass/(near Dummer Academy)" in pencil on the reverse, estate stamped and with a label from the John J. Enneking/Pierce Catalogue Raisonné (IV-C-320.2) affixed to the reverse.
Oil on canvas board, 10 x 14 in. (25.3 x 35.6 cm),framed.
Condition: Bowing to support, surface grime.
Estimate $800-1,200

Multiple inscriptions to the reverse, including "Guild" in pencil in several locations. "No. 20 Guild", and alternate titles of "The Cedars" and "Cedars."

Enneking catalogue raisonne number IV-C-320.2. bearing initials of Patricia Job Pierce in ink

Estate stamp reads, " No./Est. of John J. Enneking/Florance E. Long/Grace E. Ward/J. Eliot Enneking/Administators"

Bowing to the support of about 1/4 inch on the sides. Minor wear to board along bottom edge.
