Leonard Baskin (American, 1922-2000)

Anatomist, 1952, proof outside of the edition of 15 (Fern & O'Sullivan, 143). Titled, inscribed, and signed "...Artist's proof Baskin" in pencil along the lower margin, identified on a label from the William H. Lane Foundation, Leominster, Massachusetts, affixed to the backing. Woodcut printed in red and black on paper, image size 18 3/4 x 11 in. (47.5 x 28.1 cm), framed.
Condition: Cockling, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $300-500

Out of the frame the sheet is a fine Japan paper without any hinges, and measures 28 x 18 inches.
