Howard Clock Company, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1885, both with hinged bezels, eight-day, lever-escapement, time-only movements, 8 1/2-in. engraved silvered dials, one mounted on a shield-form mahogany base with Roman numerals and marked Star Brass Mfg. Co. Boston, Mass.; the other with Arabic numerals, marked Howard Clock 1166 and The Ashton Valve Co. Boston, Mass., both approximately dia. 10 3/4 in.
