Illustrated Books, Four Volumes: Michaud's History of the Crusades, Philadelphia: Barrie, [c. 1855], illustrated by Gustave Dore, in two volumes, three-quarter red morocco and gilt-stamped boards, professionally rebacked, a.e.g., ex library, with stamps on titles and preliminary leaves only, plates unmarked; Paul Lacroix's Military and Religious Life in the Middle Ages, and Renaissance, New York: Appleton, 1874, illustrated throughout with colored and black and white plates, in publisher's embossed binding, spine dried out and severely damaged, sewing questionable; and Milton's Paradise Lost, New York: Collier, [c. 1875], illustrated by Dore, in publisher's pictorial cloth with surface damage to boards and spine.
