Description:

Painted Cast Iron Eagle Windmill Weight, late 19th/early 20th century, flattened body with front and back molded features and head turned to side, painted yellow and brown with a red eye, mounted on a metal stand, (later paint),ht. 16 1/4, total wd. 12 1/4 in.

Literature: A similar weight is pictured and described in Windmill Weights, by Milt Simpson, (Johnson and Simpson, 1985),p. 73.

Provenance: Purchased from Charles Wilson Antiques.
