George III Parcel-gilt and Caned Bergere, England, c. 1775, fluted frame decorated throughout with gilding; coved and caned back with scrolled armrests above the caned seat with associated cushion, raised on sabre back legs, and baluster-form front legs with stylized anthemia to the knees and carved acanthus leaves to the upper legs, all terminating in brass casters, underside with impressed "G," ht. 37 1/4, wd. 27 3/4, dp. 22 3/4 in.
