Seven documents including two Commonwealth of Massachusetts military appointments printed and completed in manuscript from Sudbury, 1789 and Newburyport, 1794; a gubernatorial acceptance of the military resignation of Ebenezer Stone, 1808, signed by the Adjutant General, printed and manuscript; two Caleb Strong Massachusetts militia commissions, 1801 and 1804, both signed by John Avery; Beverly Randolph signed letter, 1787, advising that eight acting magistrates will be added to the Commission of Peace; and small manuscript document detailing fees related to a legal issue paid to William Fougley, signed by Robert Lord, Cleric, or Clerk of Essex County, Massachusetts, c. 1660.
