George III Lead Garden Figure on Doulton Terra-cotta Stand, England, early to mid-19th century, of a putto holding grapes and a bird on an octagonal plinth, ht. 24 1/2; raised on a square stand with impressed mark "Doulton & Co. Limited, Lambeth" with lion's heads to four sides, ht. 20 1/2, wd. 14 1/2 in.
Provenance: Lead garden figure purchased from Charles Lumb & Sons Ltd, Harrogate, England, 1988.

Lead figure: Areas of corrosion from exposure. Cracks/metal fatigue to both sides of neck, one shoulder, and backs of both ankles. Scattered surface abrasions. Terra-cotta stand: Losses to edges. One lion with significant loss.
