Soviet Porcelain Propaganda Plate, St. Petersburg, Russia, 20th century, decorated to front with Cyrillic inscription "he who does not work- does not eat," the center with ration cards and a profile of Lenin next to the red star with a hammer and sickle above Cyrillic "RSFSR," base with overglaze green mark of a Cyrillic monogram with crown mark of Nicolas II and date 1902, also with later black overglaze State Porcelain Factory mark of hammer, sickle, and cog with date of 1922 and Cyrillic inscription "After a drawing by M. Adamovich," numbered "13/28," and with artist's monogram, dia. 9 1/2 in.
