Jan Gobels Burl Walnut Marquetry Tall Clock, Amsterdam, c. 1760, the case with blind sound fret in the crest, flat fluted columns with Corinthian capitals flanking the composite brass dial with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring engraved Jan Gobels Amsterdam, engraved and matted center with calendar, cast brass four seasons spandrels, moon's age in the arch with lunar and tidal calibrations, tombstone-shaped waist door with oval lentical and floral and scroll marquetry pattern inlays, bombe base with similar decoration all on hairy paw feet, eight-day time and Dutch striking movement with two bells, two iron cased weights and pendulum, ht. 100 1/2 in.
