Liuba, also known as Liuba Boyadjeva (Bulgarian/Brazilian, 1923-2005)

Relevos Edition of 50, featuring six bas reliefs and a pamphlet with a poem 1969, edition of 50, featuring six bas-reliefs and a pamphlet with a poem by Lelia Coelho Frota, all mounted to linen-covered panels, published by Julio Pacello, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Relief panels signed and numbered "LIUBA 41/50" on the reverse. Cast metal alloy, sizes to 9 3/8 x 8 5/8 x 3/8 in. (24.0 x 22.0 x 1.0 cm),panel size 12 1/4 in. square, (31.0 cm square),presented in the original slipcase.

Condition: Slipcase with soiling and fading and with areas of fraying and wear to fabric, pamphlet with handling creases to the cover.

Provenance: A New York estate.

N.B. The lot is accompanied by two exhibition catalogues and other ephemera related to the artist.
