N.B. The present work was created c. 1942 for the Rumford Chemical Works, originally of Rumford, Rhode Island. "Health Club Baking Powder" was manufactured by a subsidary of Rumford, the Layton Pure Food Company of Saint Louis, Missouri, and was later changed to "Hearth Club Baking Powder" due to FDA regulations on food label health claims.
